Above the fold of the Money Section of the Omaha World Herald, you’ll see our mugs staring back at you! The World Herald wrote a feature article about DELINEA, highlighting our unconventional start-up (no outside financing) and how we have focused on building our portfolio with arts-based non-profits. 2011 has been our year to expand, we’re not done yet. We’re excited about the possibilities and looking forward to continuing to work with our current clients and adding new clients with more new, fun, creative, innovative projects!

We were happy to interview some of the creative individuals that came together to produce the five dramas nominated for a Theatre Arts Guild Award this year.

To give the TAG Award ceremony’s audience an idea of the people behind the nominated plays, it was decided that some behind-the-scenes chats were needed with the plays’ actors, directors and technicians. Greg Jacobs Interview

DELINEA partnered with Omahype and Film Streams to capture an interview with the visiting co-director/producer of the documentary Louder than a Bomb, Greg Jacobs. Check out the video after the jump.

Greg Jacobs, co-director/producer of the documentary Louder than a Bomb (2010), was recently at Film Streams for a showing and Q&A for his film. Jacobs stopped by Delinea for an interview and revealed more about the process of making the documentary. Louder than a Bomb focuses on the experiences of several teenagers competing in the “Louder than a Bomb” Poetry Slam Contest in Chicago. Jacobs and his producing/director partner, Jon Siskel, have produced several documentaries for television, including the Emmy winning film 102 Minutes that Changed America (2008).

If you haven’t already noticed, we love original artwork at DELINEA. In addition to having several talented artists on staff, we have run across a number of great visual artists on our journey. There are the entry pieces created by our dear friend, Nancy Dennis – a bright, soothing wave of colors (the pieces are on loan from her collection and are For Sale!). Then we have abstract pieces by David Williams, better known for his reviews and writings in numerous Omaha-based publications. We have a number of glass pieces by glass artist, Cory Broman. Other works range from “The Chair” created by our old neighbor at Gallery9 in Lincoln and original Batman comic book artwork by Lincoln native and 2010 Governor’s Arts Award winner, Bob Hall.

Market West

The Market West Neighborhood Alliance is a newly-formed group of residents and businesses representing an historic area of downtown Omaha. Shortly after moving into the area, DELINEA DESIGN Co-Owner, Chad Eacker led the initiative to form the neighborhood alliance, giving the area a voice, and representation in the city.

DELINEA is working with the Market West board to create a website, highlighting the attractions and the opportunities of the area. The website is set to launch Summer 2011. Below is an interactive map and a preview of what to expect from the upcoming launch.

DELINEA DESIGN has worked extensively with The Lund Company to deliver web solutions, photography and video tours of their premium apartment properties.

Midtown Crossing Executive Luxury Suites – Photos/Video

Currently, we are in the final stages of development for The Mayfair, Omaha website (site viewable on our test server). The new website features content manageable text, galleries, forms, an interactive map, and video features. All elements of the website are accessible through an administrative back-end and can be updated/changed, easily and effortlessly.

We also provided Lund with photography and video tours for the Midtown Crossing Executive Suites. The Executive Suites are the luxury, condo-style apartments at Midtown Crossing.

DELINEA and Lund have future plans to continue to develop website and video solutions for their Omaha and Council Bluffs apartment properties.

Planet Water

We just completed some work for Planet Water Foundation, a non-profit organization working to alleviate the threat of water-borne illnesses that strikes areas without access to clean, safe, drinking water. DELINEA helped by developing new graphics for slideshows, icons for clarity and an animation to display the “Aqua Tower Village” approach. The animation is posted after the jump.

Sadie Nardini – Vinyasa Yoga

Sadie Nardini is a yoga instructor based in New York City; she travels the world teaching her rock-star, Core Strength Vinyasa Yoga.

Initially, Sadie contacted DELINEA to design a logo based off of her love for the lotus and her fiery nature. Sadie loved the logo so much that she commissioned a cover for her new DVD and business cards.

Soon thereafter, Sadie traveled to Omaha to shoot her first video with us. We have continued to serve as her video production team, creating a series of three videos which have become highly reviewed and aired in Europe. DELINEA also served as Sadie’s video production team/promotional photographer on her latest DVD shot in Sedona, AZ.

The Diavolo Project

DELINEA worked with Omaha Performing Arts, Lied Center for Performing Arts and the Diavolo Dance Company out of Los Angeles to capture the intense process behind training eight teaching artists from Nebraska as they learned the highly-athletic Diavolo Dance Technique from founder and choreographer, Jacques Heim.

The hour-long documentary follows the process behind the training as the teaching artists learned to trust and respect their fellow dancers. You can check out clips from the project in our demo reel. DELINEA also created website (archived) and print materials for the project.
